Service Description

It is more fun and more satisfying, to work on a project or goal that is of interest to you, the student, so if there are no projects on the menu that you want to make, use this option to propose a project of your own. However if you are a new beginner there are some factors to keep in mind: Your patience level. Your attention span Your level of interest Your available time Your personal goals. Consider starting with “forgiving projects” like bags, blankets, aprons, accessories, and crafts that use easy to handle fabrics and are still useful even if you make one or two mistakes This session is limited to youth students ages 8-12. However Youth students are welcome to choose a standard session if they feel comfortable working for 90 minutes Skill Level: Students should know basic sewing machine operations, including threading the machine, winding the bobbin, and pushing the foot pedal. Our “Introduction to the Sewing Machine” Class is strongly recommended. Class Fee: Class includes expert help on a project of the student's choice, plus access to studio machines and tools as needed. The student provides the patterns, supplies, and fabric needed to complete their project. They can also bring their own machine if they wish to practice sewing with their own machine. Class Length: This is a 60 minute session.
